Take a fabulous guided kayak tour of the small, novice-friendly Clunie Loch near Blairgowrie and learn about the ancient fortifications and ruins that surround it.


During your 2.5 hour guided kayak trip, you’ll discover the facts and the legends, explore the lovely island in the middle of the loch and look out for some beautiful wildlife, such as herons, buzzards, ospreys, otters and beavers. We can even arrange a picnic for you if you wish. Clunie Loch really is a true gem of East Perthshire.


Once you’ve finished exploring you’ll be able to enjoy a tea or coffee and bite to eat at the Cateran Cafe in the nearby town of Blairgowrie. They also serve amazing breakfasts, lunches and cakes if you are looking for a nice meal in the area before or after the activity.

Price includes the paddle sports kit (boat, paddle, buoyancy aid, spray deck, dry bag), the guide who will lead and £10pp voucher to spend in the Cateran Cafe before or after the activity.

Clunie Loch is a novice-friendly kayaking destination.


All paddling gear will be provided, single or double kayaks are available.


Bring some warm clothes for the weather, including shoes you don't mind getting wet. A hat, gloves, water and any medications are worth bringing as well. The dry bags provided will keep everything handy during the tour.


Your tour can start at 10.00, 14.00 or 18.00. Trips last 2.5 hours.


Children under 5 are very welcome but please do get in touch before booking to arrange specific details
