Escape the ordinary

Scroll Down

Escape the ordinary by combining your own Wee Adventure by canoe with a journey into the Iron Age at the Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay.

Enjoy an exceptional outdoor canoe adventure and gain a whole new perspective of Loch Tay and it’s spectacular landscape from the water in this tour with Wee Adventures.

You’ll start your tour by meeting Biscuit — a world-class adventure sports coach and guide with an infectious enthusiasm for life — at Kenmore Beach, then paddle out to Sybilla Island to explore the ruins and discover their ancient secrets.

After a morning of fresh air and exercise, a short walk will take you to lunch at Kenmore’s new rising star of a cafe, The Paper Boat, where all things are delicious and oh so coorie.

Having paddled around the Crannog in the morning, you’ll now have a chance to step inside and be taken on a fascinating journey into Scotland's prehistory. Walk in the footsteps of the original crannog dwellers and immerse yourself in ancient village life with authentic artefacts, demonstrations of textiles, cooking and traditional crafts & technologies, and take in the atmosphere inside the Crannog Roundhouse.
