EXPLORE

Ski or Snowboard at Glenshee 

Blairgowrie makes an ideal base to go to Scotland's largest ski centre, Glenshee. Based over 4 mountains, Glenshee has runs for all levels, plus there are plenty of ski schools and places to hire kit. 


Go Canyoning at Craig Hall 

This section of the River Ericht offers some fantastic jumps in this beautiful gorge.

Go Whitewater Kayaking 

The rivers around Blairgowrie offer some fantastic whitewater of all grades, with highlights including the Ericht at Bridge of Cally and the River Blackwater Gorge.

Paddle to a Ruined Castle 

A series of beautiful lochs string out along the road between Blairgowrie and Dunkeld, the Highlight of which is Clunie Loch. With a ruined castle on a small island, and calm waters, it's a great place to learn and explore.

BMX at Rattray Track 

A new BMX track offers some excellent riding near to the town centre of Blairgowrie. 


Hike the Cateran Trail 

This is one of Scotland's great long-distance trails, a circular, fully waymarked 64 miles/ 103 km route. 


Event : The Cateran Yomp  

One of Scotland's toughest endurance events, encompassing parts of the Cateran Trail, it helps raise money for The Soldiers’ Charity and attracts walkers from across the globe.

EAT, DRINK & SHOP

Cargills Bistro offers plenty of choice including some excellent vegetarian meals.


Number 31 is a Blair institution, popular for both it's meals and and a popular coffee and chat stop.


The Cateran Cafe on the high street offers hearty sandwiches, salads and cakes.

STAY

Blairgowrie Holiday Park offers family friendly lodges and caravans with plenty of onsite facilities.
