Paddle the River Tay 

Slicing through the middle of the City, the 'Silvery Tay' offers great paddlesport opportunities. The river is tidal below Perth and it's an ever-changing landscape. There is even a small city centre slalom course.

Admire the history 

Go on a guided history tour with Perth City Tours and explore the gems of this historic city, an old Scottish capital.

Walk or Mountain Bike the Kinnoull Hill Trails 

Looking down to Perth and across the Tay estuary, expect great views and a wide selection of trails for all levels at this great spot with excellent access. 

Hit the Mountain Board Track 

On Moncrieffe Hill, and with spectacular City views, this purpose-built Mountain Board space has a Boarder Cross track, Jumps and Rails. 

Go River Surfing 

Just north of Perth, the River Tay at Stanley can offer some fantastic waves to partake in the sport of River Surfing.

Hit the Whitewater 

The Stanley section of the River Tay, just North of Perth, is a Whitewater Classic. Bouncy and fun grade 2 and 3 rapids.

Skate and BMX at Perth Skatepark 

One of the country’s biggest skateparks with something for everyone, bowls from big to small, a huge main section and street section. 

Event : Fair City Enduro

With sections in and around the city, this friendly Enduro shows off the best of the area's Mountain Biking trails as well as being Scotland's only qualifying round for the World Enduro Series.

Event : Perth Skate Jam

Every August this event is one of Scotland's oldest Skateboard events. With music blasting and the country's best skaters hitting the ramps it's an incredible spectacle.


Paco's equals pizza heaven! Loads of choice in this perennial Perth Italian favourite.

Everest offers some amazing Nepalese cuisine. It's lunch menu is extremely filling.

Monterey Jack's is the go to location for burgers and wings, with an excellent outdoor terrace.


Noah's Ark camping site is perfect for kids. Next to it you will find  go-Karting, ten pin bowling and arcade games to entertain all the family.

Perth Youth Hostel offers family and budget friendly accommodation throughout the summer months. It's situated next to Perth's climbing wall.
